The Little Cottage provides comfortable homely accommodation for upto 4 people in a traditional stone cottage full of character and charm, yet offering modern facilities.
Cosy sitting room with inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, sofa, dining table and chairs. Large LCD TV with (Freesat) Sky, DVD player, radio / CD player, Kids DVD's, games and puzzles and a selection of books.
Fast, reliable wireless Broadband Internet.
Fully equipped kitchen with full size Zannusi electic oven and Bosch hob, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, blender, toaster, Franke triflow filtered water tap, a cafetiere, utensils, crockery, cookware including steamer and premium copper bottomed pans, glassware and cutlery. Hand towels and tea towels are provided.
Two upstairs bedrooms with exposed beams and original floorboards. Comfortable double beds with Sleepeze Brompton Backcare Mattress and feather-free duvets and pillows. In the smaller room the bed is accessible from one side only. All bedding and towels are provided at no extra charge.
Downstairs Shower room (with power shower) with wash basin and WC
Enclosed private garden with extensive patio offering extensive views across surrounding countryside, garden furniture and wood
burning chimnea. Ideal for sunbathing, relaxing and cooking outdoors.
The Little Cottage is "beyond the mains" for gas, so our wonderful Wood-fired heating system uses a thermal store to heat radiators throughout. Also electric Storage heaters and portable electric heaters if required. Ample logs are provided at no extra cost.
Electricity, phone line (free evening and weekend calls to 01 and 02 numbers) and free wireless (Wi-Fi) broadband internet are all included.
We have a newly built outdoor utility room with automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board with laundry detergents provided.
We have a WaterSoure twin cylinder Water Softener which provides beautifully softened water throughout the cottage except for the drinking water and outside tap. This is something highly appreciated by people with sensitive skin - and for people who have water softeners it's simply home-from-home!
