Welcome to The Little Cottage
The Little Cottage Newsletter
September 2008
Well it's been a busy summer at The Little Cottage with hardly a vacant night since the middle of June although the weather could have been better. As the season changes so too does the countryside of mid-wales. Now the kids are back at school and summer draws to a close there's an even greater aire of peace and tranquility. As the days shorten the changes in nature are apparent too. Mornings often start misty with heavy dews revealing the intricate webs of spiders in the hedgerows, the hawthorns berries eagerly gathered by birds. The weather has been bright and sunny lately, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine outside and lighting the chimnea as the light fades in the evening. Autumn is the perfect time to visit the welsh borders and with lower rates it's your perfect chance to grab a weekend break or a longer stay. Check our latest rates and availability
Celebrities in the house
Rumour has it we've had a celebrity visitor to The Little Cottage. Whilst
confidentiality prevents us from naming names we can say this person is
a well known musicial as well as appearing in a reality TV show! We know
they enjoyed their stay and look forward to welcoming them back.
As you may know, we're new to offering the cottage for holidays so this summer has been a learning curve for us. We're very keen to get it right and thank you for your wonderful feedback. We're aiming to act on suggestions visitors make to make The Little Cottage the best possible base for your next visit to mid-wales. We never thought anyone would want to do the ironing on holiday, but we now have an iron and ironing board. Also a new larger frying pan available, parts of the cottage have been re-painted and of course bedding and towels are now included. Future plans include fitting a wood burning stove in place of the open fire, and a solar hot water system - watch this space!
